Read the guideMost of what homeowners need to know is not on contractor websites
Search for how to hire a concrete contractor and the useful answers come from national sites, consumer organisations and discussion forums. Almost none of it comes from contractors, because most of the honest advice runs against the seller in the short term.
Telling you that a third is a reasonable deposit ceiling, that you should get three quotes, and that you should not open with your budget all make our job marginally harder. They also happen to be true, and a homeowner who knows them ends up with a better result whoever they hire.
The same applies to the material comparison. Because we install asphalt and concrete both, we can set out where each one genuinely wins without an incentive to bend it. A company that only owns one kind of equipment cannot do that, however honest they are being.
